Our aim is to be as accessible as possible to as many people as possible. The Old Rep is a Grade II listed building and due to its age has no lifts and many stairs. Some areas are not accessible except by using stairs. Please see below for more information.

Please call our friendly Box Office team to discuss your specific needs and we will advise you on the best seating options.

There is an accessible toilet in the Hinckley Bar.

Assistance dogs are welcome at The Old Rep and we can supply water if required. Please contact the Box Office for assistance in selecting the most appropriate seats for you and your assistance dog.

Due to the nature of some of the events at The Old Rep, there may be loud noises, gunshots, smoke, haze, strobe and other effects that may distress your assistance dog. We are happy to care for your dog away from the performance after you are seated. Please let us know in advance.

There are baby changing facilities in the accessible toilet in the Hinckley Bar.

The nearest parking for Blue Badge holders is the Dudley Street Car Park (B5 4PJ what3words: ///taps.cowboy.update)

We hope you will feel comfortable breastfeeding your baby at The Old Rep. If, however, you would prefer some more privacy, please speak to a member of staff who will be happy to assist.

The auditorium is fitted with a hearing loop. Please let us know in advance if you require use of the hearing loop and we will provide details of how to collect a receiver.

No pushchairs or prams are permitted inside the auditorium.

Pushchairs and prams can be collapsed and stored at your own risk in the Hinckley Bar, but due to the age of the building, storage space is limited and is available on a first come, first served basis. We ask that all patrons avoid bringing pushchairs and prams if at all possible. Please speak to the Duty Manager immediately upon arrival if you need to store your pushchair or pram.

If you require step free access, please use the Hinckley Street entrance.

The Balcony is only accessible by stairs. Please do not book seats here if you require step free access.

We have two wheelchair positions on the front row of the stalls. Please speak to our Box Office to book these seats by calling 0121 643 5858.

These seats are accessed by a small lift sized 145cm in length by 80cm wide but please be aware there is a tight turning circle to access the lift which reduces the length of chair able to use the lift.

Some of the events at The Old Rep offer relaxed performances. This is not possible for every event and details of relaxed performances are available in the show listings in our What’s On section. Please note that some relaxed performances can only be booked by calling the Box Office or visiting us in person.

More details coming soon.
